So, I volunteered to organize a float from our school and it was fun and Jeff was amazingly helpful. (Even though he flat out refused to be the bull rider but instead opted to be the truck driver.) Our elementary school really is amazing. You shoot out a few emails and the next thing you know, your house is filled with moms making tissue paper flowers! :)
Thanks everyone.
(Dad G. for letting us borrow your trailer, Sheryl for dropping off a sweet yellow shirt and cape the day of the parade, Tasha for finding a matador hat at her church, Nicole, the art teacher, for making the incredible signs, and all the moms, dads, and kids who helped make the flowers and/or walked.)

It was a blast! What's more fun than kids on a float throwing tons of candy? And, the moms had a nice power walk through Clement's Mill! Thanks for spearheading that project, along with the other bazillion things you are doing right now.
Remember Maria VanderKooy from GRCHS? She just moved back to town with her husband (Jon Uekert) and 4 kids. Her son Joshua is in 2nd grade at Pine Ridge. They're loving the school!
Yep. I've seen Maria a couple times already this year. She's very nice.
Oh my goodness! That matador was a real person! You know that in a bullfight they kill it, not ride it, right? ;)
Yes Amanda, my recently back from Spain friend, I do realize that they kill the bull but I didn't want to make a paper mache' bull so I bought a cowboy bull riding costume and asked the rider to dress like a matador - not a cowboy!
Get it? Got it? Good. :)
Well I have to start by saying that I hate parades!! Your a better mom than me!! That being said...great job it looks super cute and it looks like all the kids had a great time!
What parade was this for? I LOVE parades. Looks like they had so much fun:-)
