You're Welcome

To the future Mrs. Zach Guikema, you're welcome. This boy loves to clean toilets.

Alright, so these frigid temps. have me (and just a few others) feeling a bit crabby lately. So, I thought I would come up with a list of all the great things about winter. Hang on to your long johns ... here we go.
  • Unlike summer, you don't have to put on a bathing suit every day. (Or get sand in your unmentionable areas.)
  • Your towel is always dry in the morning because the heat's been running all night.
  • Soup tastes better.
  • The kids can find another use for their Easter eggs --- eyes for their snowman.
  • Hot chocolate is appropriate to drink anytime.
  • You get to wear cute hats, scarves, and mittens.
  • You can watch football all day and not feel guilty that you aren't playing outside.

That's it. If you have any others, comment below. And if you want to give a smug blogger a hard time, check out Amanda's blog.

What I love about Winter:
My garage can be used as a freezer.
No mowing the grass or raking leaves.
Leg hairs can grow to gorilla length.
AND
My bed is always the perfect temperature and pleasantly comfortable with the electric blanket on.

The only good thing about winter in my estimation is what Patti said - "Leg hairs can grow to gorilla length." The garage as a freezer is a plus for family holiday parties, but that's about it.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather have sand in my crack ANY day!

Concerning Zach . . . could we talk arranged marriage? I have two beautiful, well behaved daughters . . . OK . . . two beautiful, one well behaved . . .

Sorry that you joined the ranks of "Crabby about Winter"--hope I didn't give it to you! What I love about winter: You can wear layers to hide anything!! :)

Smug Blogger here. I feel I should comment, but don't want to ruin your attempt at winter cheer. I will withhold my list of refutations; nor will I mention that most of those activities are possible without four -degree weather.

OK, I thought of one good thing about winter. I can go grocery shopping before going to work, and the groceries stay nice and fresh!
